Why Students May Need High School Tutoring
Students need high school tutoring because much more is at stake. Your child may require high school tutoring because. terms and concepts have gotten more abstract, and homework more difficult. Colleges will look at grades and whether students are taking academically challenging courses. If your child wants to go to a top-rated college or university, they should take as many AP and honors courses as possible. The goal is to keep both the weighted and the unweighted GPA high. Given that students are also involved in sports, clubs and other extracurriculars, that may not be easy. Students need to keep both the short-term (the next few months) and the long-term (the next few years) goals in perspective.
Given how much as at stake, it’s not surprising that for-profit and non-profit organizations offer a variety of study tools, such as Gale Database and World Book Encyclopedia online. Many of these are available directly from school district libraries. For example, here are the links to study tools and library research in Methacton School district, Phoenixville Area High School and Phoenixville Area Middle School, and Perkiomen Valley High School, and PV Middle School East. For some reason, it is difficult to locate a site for Spring-Ford High School and Middle School, but I will keep trying!
