College Tutoring
You might need college tutoring because professors want MORE. They want you to read 30 or 50 or more pages per class session. A good rule of thumb is that you should spend 2 hours reading and studying for every hour you spend in class
One difference between high school and college is that your professors will require a different, deeper way of thinking than your high school teachers wanted.
They may expect you to define “political party“, “macroeconomics“, or “operant conditioning” (psychology). They may also ask how and why parties developed over time the way they did, here and abroad; why the Industrial Revolution took on different forms in Britain and Germany; or how approaches to psychology developed in the 20th century. In short, they want you to exercise critical thinking skills.
At Advantage Learning Center, we have many years of college-level teaching and research experience. We know what college professors expect from students and can help students develop or improve their critical thinking skills.
